Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 25, 2026

CourtVisions is a basketball playbook, team collaboration, and scouting app published by Next Innovation LLC (“CourtVisions”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to the CourtVisions app, this website, and related services.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your email address, display name, profile photo if your sign-in provider supplies one, which provider you used, and an account identifier. You can sign in with an email and password, with Google, or with Apple. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we receive Apple’s private relay address rather than your personal one.

Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication (Google). Passwords are processed there and are not stored in CourtVisions’ own database.

Device and technical information

Running the service produces technical records. We and our providers may process your IP address, device type and operating system, app version, language, account and request identifiers, timestamps, and server and error logs. We use these to sign you in, keep the service working and secure, prevent abuse, and diagnose problems.

The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs. We do not build usage profiles of you.

Content you create

We store what you create in the app: plays, playbooks, drawings, folders, teams and team membership, scouting reports, notes, and defensive preferences. Your content stays private to you unless you publish or share it, in which case it is available to the members of the team you shared it with.

We do not sell or rent your content, and we do not use it to train our own AI models.

Information about other people

Scouting reports describe other teams and their players. Please use jersey numbers rather than names wherever you can, and do not enter personal information about another person — particularly a minor — unless you have the authority and any permission needed to do so. You are responsible for the information you enter about others.

AI features

When you ask for an AI feature — defensive analysis or AI-assisted scouting — the information needed for that request is sent from our servers to Google’s Gemini API. Depending on the feature this can include plays, player positions and movement, defensive preferences, scouting details, and the notes and instructions you wrote. We aim to send only what the request needs; please avoid putting unnecessary personal details into an AI request.

We do not use your AI requests or their results to train our own models. AI results you choose to save stay attached to the play or report until you delete it or delete your account.

Retention, stated plainly: we currently keep records of AI requests and responses indefinitely, so that we can investigate problems and improve the feature. We are not promising a fixed deletion window, because today we do not have one. If we introduce one, we will update this page.

Purchases and subscriptions

Subscriptions are sold through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Apple processes your payment; we do not receive or store your card number. We use RevenueCat, Inc. to track subscription access. What reaches us is limited to things like the product or tier, purchase, renewal, cancellation and expiry status, transaction identifiers, and the account identifier that ties a subscription to your CourtVisions account.

What we do not do

How we use information

Who we share information with

We share information only with the providers that make the service work:

Provider What it handles
Google — Firebase and Google Cloud Sign-in, database, storage, server functions, and related infrastructure
Google — Gemini API Generating AI analysis and scouting suggestions
Apple App distribution, Sign in with Apple, in-app purchases, and payment processing
RevenueCat Subscription status and entitlements
Vercel Hosting this website; it processes ordinary web request logs such as IP address and requested page

We may also disclose information:

Where information is processed

Our databases and server functions are configured in the United States. Some providers may process or temporarily store information in the United States and in other countries where they operate. If you use CourtVisions from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in those countries, where privacy laws may differ from your own.

Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as it is needed to run the service, and then for as long as we are required to keep it. In practice:

Your choices

Deleting your account

You can delete your account inside the app: open Account and choose Delete account. If you own a team, you will first be asked to transfer ownership or disband it, so that your teammates do not lose shared work without warning.

Deleting your account removes your profile and the content under your control. Some things do not disappear:

Deletion is permanent — we cannot restore an account afterwards.

🔴 Deleting your account or the app does not cancel your Apple subscription. Cancel that separately in your Apple ID settings.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can edit your profile in the app. For a copy of your data, or to correct or delete something you cannot change yourself, email us. We may need to verify who you are first, and we respond within 30 days or the period the law requires.

Managing your subscription

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID, not by us. Open Settings on your device, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.

Children

CourtVisions is built for coaches. It is not intended for children under 13, and children under 13 may not create an account. If we learn we have collected personal information directly from a child under 13, we will delete it and close the account.

Parents or guardians who believe a child has given us information can reach us at contact@nextinnovation.llc.

Security

Our providers encrypt data in transit and at rest, and server-side rules restrict your content to you and the teammates you share it with. A small number of our personnel can access production systems when needed to operate and support the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your playbook as private by default.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
